Provide leadership and deep technical expertise in all aspects of solution design and application development for specific business environments. Focus on setting technical direction on groups of applications and similar technologies as well as taking responsibility for technically robust solutions encompassing all business, architecture, and technology constraints. May be responsible for coordinating teams to accomplish development in a matrixed organization. Typically requires 5-7 years of experience
Participate in design, development and implementation of front-end engineering activities for Bank of America Online Banking and cross-channel pages developed by the Online Banking E-commerce Team. Work with Line of Business on requirement gathering, user acceptance testing and post software release certification. Translate designs and style guides into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and performance. Work collaboratively with various backend systems in the Bank supplying data for various online banking functionalities. Work with the Performance Testing/ Browser testing/Monitoring Teams for performance tuning of the Bank of America Online banking functionalities. Develop original and creative technical solutions meeting scalability, security, quality, and performance standards. Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes, and provide comments on design aspects.
Knowledge of mobile web technologies and frameworks.
Knowledge of responsive web design concepts and methodologies
Knowledge of server-side scripting languages and frameworks.
Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a combination of relevant training and experience
