Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Project Scientist for immediate employment in the Charlotte, NC office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing reports and other technical documents.

  • Compiling, evaluating, and analyzing environmental data

  • Conducting asbestos surveys

  • Conducting lead paint Inspections

  • Conducting mold / indoor air quality surveys

  • Conducting universal and general hazard inventories surveys

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field

  • 2+ years of experience

  • Asbestos Inspector & Project Monitor Certification (NC)

  • DOT and RCRA Training

  • Knowledge of railroad culture

  • Ability to travel 75+% of the time

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong understanding of structural building components

  • Candidate will travel within a geographic territory conducting inspections (NC, SC & VA)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience

  • History working within the railroad industry

  • RWT Trainer

  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe

  • Experience working in SharePoint platform

  • Aerial Lift Experience

  • Experience conducting bridge inspections
