Bank of America Leasing Reporting Analyst - Leasing Credit Officer I in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description:

Responsible for delivery of integrated credit solutions to middle market or corporate clients. Partner closely with client-facing teammates in both the Global Corporate Bank and Global Commercial Bank to consult on sales opportunities and provide the product expertise and consultation necessary to deliver the best possible solution to the client. Generally has 3 or more years of credit experience and limited industry, skill, and product knowledge.

Job Description / Essential Functions:

Associate will be responsible for supporting a wide range of reporting and related analytical activity with respect to the Bank of America Leasing portfolio, to include regulatory & capital analysis and reporting requirements, responding to time-sensitive ad hoc information requests, creating presentation materials and documentation, as well as periodic new business profitability analysis & reporting. Successful candidates should be analytically and technically proficient, with a strong quantitative inclination and strong written communication skills.

  • Associate will possess: strong analytical and technical / computer skills, including high proficiency with Excel and core financial concepts; demonstrated ability to work successfully as part of a team and to communicate across disciplines; and strong time management skills. Must be highly diligent with a strong attention to detail.

  • Associate will: query existing Leasing databases to extract key data elements, perform financial & regulatory calculations utilizing the data, filter the output to produce customized reports or other presentation materials, and to create detailed documentation of the process & results.

  • Be expected to prepare both periodic and ad hoc analysis, reports or presentation materials for use by senior management, requiring the use of advanced Excel features including look-ups and pivot tables.

  • Assist with responding to ad hoc audit, regulatory or other similar requests for portfolio data or related information.

  • May be asked to participate in other financial or pricing related work, and to create aggregation & forecast models for complex Leasing products Required Education: Bachelor's Degree – preferably in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, computer science, or other business or quantitative concentration. Prior Work Experience: 3+ years of experience in either a quantitative / analytical position or data intensive reporting role – such as credit reporting, financial reporting, tax, pricing & structuring, modeling, or regulatory reporting. Similar or otherwise relevant work experience will be considered. Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Superior computer skills, particularly Excel and database query building skills

  • Highly diligent, with a keen eye for detail and a low tolerance for errors

  • Results oriented, able to meet established deadlines

  • Good work ethic, with tolerance for late hours and working to occasional urgent turn-around times

  • Ability to work independently, and efficiently manage multiple on-going projects / tasks

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Ability to operate as part of a team, exhibiting professional maturity and sound interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to travel (<10%).

  • Location – Boston, Chicago, Charlotte, Providence, New York preferred – other locations considered
