POSITION SUMMARY

Ability to sell HDMS products and services using a consultative sales model. Ability to generate viable new sales leads and manage them throughout the sales life cycle. Participate and support existing sales processes to HDMS prospects and channel partners. Develops and manages prospects in the most proactive and strategic manner possible, and finds new and innovative ways to show prospects the value of the HDMS products and services available to them. Develops a mutually rewarding working relationship with various prospect contacts by providing excellent customer service which results in prospect/customer satisfaction and a buy decision. Communicates with prospects senior management or their direct reports and effectively engages all prospect stakeholders and demonstrates the HDMS value proposition. Consistently monitors product lines and services to optimize prospect interaction and provides recommendations based on prospect needs. Achieves sales and profitability targets. Partners with account management to create a renewal strategy that identifies profitable growth and cross-sell opportunities within existing customers. Monitors industry information and competitive environment of the marketplace to position HDMS strength accordingly. Delivers organized polished presentations of solutions with benefits tied to constituents needs.

Fundamental Components:

Cultivates strong and influential relationships with executives at health plans

Manages leads/opportunities throughout sales cycle, involving HDMS Subject Matter Experts and Executives, as needed Meet sales targets as mutually agreed upon

Implements strategies necessary to achieve sales targets

Manages and reports on Pipeline to HDMS senior executives

Manages complex contract negotiations, involving Legal, IT and Client Services as needed

Provides sales expertise to Account Managers during renewals

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

7+ years of experience selling to health plans, ideally selling analytic products/services using consultative sales model. Solid and current network with managed care executives.

Demonstrated recent sales success.

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
