Position Description:

Key role for a senior business valuation associate with 3 to 10 years of responsible valuation or credit experience to join our Enterprise Valuation Group. This is an existing Risk role that provides independent valuation reports and valuation reviews to support credit and risk decisions. Valuations cover domestic and international leveraged businesses in growth and stressed scenarios. The target companies are generally private and medium to large in size. The ideal candidate is independent, motivated, detail-oriented, and able to analyze data and convey conclusions effectively. Finance, accounting, and/or MBA degree required. CFA, ASA, or similar designation and Excel expertise a plus.

Enterprise Role Overview:

Prepares business enterprise valuation reports on the most complex domestic and international companies to support the Bank's leveraged loans and other riskier assets. Independently researches industry and market trends, identifies key performance drivers, and makes long-term market projections. Compares subject companies to peers and develops valuation indicators. Analyzes complex financial data and projects future cash flows. Synthesizes all available data and reconciles conclusions. Has a deep understanding of valuation methods and theories. Explains conclusions clearly and produces well supported reports. May assume management/supervisory responsibilities including quality assurance, valuation review duties, management of fee consultants and the approval of fees. Works with a high level of autonomy with high decision making impact.

Required Skills:

  • 3 to 10 years of responsible valuation or credit experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, accounting, and/or MBA degree required

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to analyze data and present conclusions effectively

Desired Skills:

  • CFA, ASA, or similar designation

  • Deep knowledge of Excel workbook functions

  • Demonstrated skill with FactSet or similar database
