Eaton Corporation Business Development Specialist - AIT in Cleveland, Ohio

Eaton has an opening for a Business Development Specialist for Applied Industrial Technologies (AIT). This position is located in Eden Prairie, MN, Cleveland, OH or Maumee, OH. This position drives growth of Eaton sales (all products) through increased share of current AIT hydraulic spend and increased AIT market share with AIT Service Centers and Applied Canada.

Essential functions include:

  • Establish effective relationships with AIT senior leaders (CEO, CCO, VP Marketing & Sales, VP Supply Chain, AVPs) with particular emphasis on the Area Vice Presidents and Fluid Power Teams.

  • Drive growth through leveraging AIT national agreements with the collaboration of Eaton and AIT sales resources

  • Collaborate with product management create effective and profitable product offerings, price strategies and promotional activity. Provide financial review and analysis of all promotional programs to determine effectiveness.

  • Manage communications between Eaton and the entire Applied sales force including but not limited to; Product, Price, Marketing, Personnel Changes, etc.

  • Plan strategic and effective spending of Market Development Funds and all other Eaton funded initiatives. Provide monthly updates of forecasted spending to Channel Marketing Manager assuring spending does not exceed both the monthly forecast and total available funding.

  • Monitor customer scorecard measures and initiate appropriate actions to continuously improve ratings.

  • Collaborate with Eaton Regional Sales Managers to communicate, drive and measure corporate growth initiatives. Ensure alignment between all Applied AVP’s and Eaton RSM’s and down to the Eaton ASM, Applied Regional Manager level.

  • Establish minimum of one meeting per year to include the Senior Leadership of both AIT and Eaton Hydraulics Business

  • Provide monthly updates on all key activities and initiatives, quarterly updates on alignment to AIT earnings releases and annual complete customer profile update.

  • Develop commercial programs and policies that facilitate significant sales growth while maximizing Eaton margin dollars

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institute

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, engineering, marketing, product management or business development.

  • Ability to work in the United States without company sponsorship

  • Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Eden Prairie, MN, Maumee, OH or Cleveland, OH to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business from an accredited institute

  • CFPS

  • Broad range of computer skills associated with Siebel CRM (C360) and the Microsoft Office suite of products.

  • Up to 50% travel required
