Eaton Corporation HRMS Training and Communication Specialist in Cleveland, Ohio
Eaton has an opening for an HRMS Training and Communication Specialist. This position will be located in Beachwood, OH.
The primary focus of this position is the support the development, maintenance and coordination of end user and internal communications and training documents for global HRMS users and HR Technology team members. The Training and Communication Analyst is responsible to produce, implement and document training programs and facilitate custom group and individual training programs. This position will provide technical guidance and support and conduct skills training and assessment. The Training and Communication analyst is also responsible for data and problem analysis and supports the HR Technology technical team with HRMS testing for upgrades, patches and other technical projects as assigned.
Training and Communication (60% of time):
Develops and maintains customer and internal team training materials using a variety of media. Includes job aids, e-learning courses, video demonstrations, User Productivity Demos and recordings, presentations and process documentation.
Develops skill assessments and provides post training support.
Consults, coordinates and partners with internal and external process owners to ensure all processes are documented and meeting their needs.
Develops training roadmaps for HR Technology customers and team members.
Conducts training sessions with customers (individual and group) on supported systems and processes.
Responsible to develop, schedule, review and post customer and team communications on HR Technology related topics such as system enhancements/upgrades, processing "tips", upcoming events, etc.
Develops and implements communication plans for end users, stakeholders and COEs.
Provides Project Support for HRT Roadmap (20% of time):
Participates in Project Teams for new system implementation, patches, upgrades or enhancements. Identifies and escalates risks in all project phases.
Completes UAT scripts and documents results in support of system upgrades or patches.
Develops and implements communication plans for end users, stakeholders and COEs as assigned.
Process Improvement and Data Integrity (10% of time):
Assists in maintaining data integrity in systems by running reports and analyzing data.
Collects and documents feedback and data from COEs, customers, end users, and other team members on process improvements.
Presents process improvement suggestions to HRT Leadership team.
Customer Support and Subject Matter Expertise in HR Systems (10% of time):
Provides escalated user support to end users.
Processes Tier 3 Data Corrections and mass updates.
Reviews and monitors interface error reports.
Manages requests from global users received via the case management system.
Responds to "how to" questions, special requests, issue research/resolution and required activities related to processes such as Oracle HRMS, Payroll, Eaton University, Taleo, E-star and APEX.
Provides front-line technical support for all supported systems (10% of time):
Identifies recurring issues from cases, collects data and documents support from end users, performs and documents tests in production and QA systems to assist in root cause and impact analysis.
Researches HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws by conducting large data analysis and system tests to identify patterns, impacted users, groups or regions.
Documents results of analysis and works with technical support team on issue urgency and resolution.
Participates in UAT testing for break fix issues and documents results.
Bachelor degree from an accredited institution required
Minimum two years experience in development of training materials
Minimum two years experience in documentation of processes related to training and communications
Minimum one year experience in developing training and communication plans for multiple stakeholders
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates currently residing within a 50 mile radius of Beachwood, OH will be considered
Demonstrated Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to complete advanced operations and formulas in Microsoft excel with large data sets.
Experience interfacing with all levels of HR and IT professionals and business customers. Must be able to communicate effectively with functional, business and technical stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including clear and comprehensible assistance to customers and other team members and detailed process documentation.
Excellent presentation skills and proven ability to deliver presentations, conduct workshops and other events virtually and in-person to global audiences
Excellent interpersonal relationship building and team work skills which are especially critical to our “global” team environment.
Thorough Knowledge of Human Resource Policies and Practices
Thorough knowledge and understanding of HR Technology applications, how these applications and systems are developed and maintained, as well as how they interface with other systems.
Ability to coordinate/prioritize multiple, often complex, tasks in order to ensure continued effectiveness in meeting the company’s recordkeeping, reporting and compliance needs.
Strong analytical skills for completing complex problem solving and analysis of business processes and systems.
Proactive about identifying problems and continuous improvement with focus on data integrity
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Two years experience in project management
Two years experience with systems training
Two years experience with E-Learning Development software
Two years experience with Camtasia or other video creation/editing software
Two years experience developing communication and training plans for a global audience with multiple stakeholders
