Job Summary: Supervises payroll processing for all Brink’s company U.S.A employees. Ensuring that all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner. Operates as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues. Continuously looks for process improvements in processes, design and implements those initiatives.

Conducts work planning and prioritization to optimize performance of team and works with the Payroll Director to define standards and approaches for payroll operation. Acts as liaison between payroll and other departments to ensure payroll compliance with company policies and governmental laws.

Position Qualifications

• Oversee the processing of payroll for all U.S.A Brink’s company employees and supervises a team of 3-4 Payroll Administrators in the daily operation of all payroll functions

• Ensure that earnings, withholding or deductions associated with net pay is calculated properly.

• Trains team members on new or enhanced operation procedures and policies

• Assists in monitoring workload, for the Payroll Admin and makes recommendations for changes in workload to the Payroll Director.

• Identifies process improvements initiatives and defines standards for new processes.

• Manages Executive and other more complex payroll groups include handling expat and equity distributions.

• Researches, validates and corrects employee data in payroll system, delivering a high level of quality customer service.

• Assist the Payroll Director with coordinating year-end processing of payroll, including supplemental payroll runs and calendars.

• Monitors payroll production errors and proactively identifies process improvement to mitigate the errors.

• Coordinates payroll testing of tax updates or other production system release testing.

• Evaluates and develop changes to the payroll processes and procedures.

• Write and revise queries in PeopleSoft system

• Create tickets for system issues and monitor the issues until resolved; test and re-test changes after each PS update

• Review and approve manual checks, stop payments/reversal requests for the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter balance adjustments into PS system

• Maintain department share point site

• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in payroll, including wage and hour laws, payroll taxes, Garnishments and other federal/state regulations

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Supervisor

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Bachelor’s degree is a plus

• Experience with PeopleSoft release 8.8 or higher

• Experience processing multi-state payroll on People Soft HRM system

• 3-4 Years processing garnishments

• 5 years of experience processing high volume payroll

• FPC/CPP-designation a plus

• Experience with federal, state, local and unemployment taxes

• Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel
