Eaton Corporation Plant Manager in Cuautitlan, Mexico

Job Description

This position will be responsible of leading the organization at Cuautitlan Plant with all the activities to manage and direct the Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality, HR, Environmental, Safety Performance, Finance and Plant engineering for the Cuautitlan Plant.

A. Develop and implement local policies and procedures to meet the needs of the Eaton Business System, Values and Philosophy Plant operation.

B. Drive Plant profitability through participation with Sales, Product Line Strategy Teams and Cost Out councils.

C. Understand, promote and adhere to the company’s policy on Equal Opportunity and Diversity.

D. Select, motivate, and develop personnel to assure a team of qualified talent.

E. Maintain and improve employee relationships with both hourly and salaried employees.

F. Develop and maintain ongoing manufacturing strategy.

G. Develop and manage Plant Profit Plan departmental budgets.

H. Develop and implement capital plans to support manufacturing strategy.

I. Monitor product quality levels and introduce and implement new programs to assure continued improvement that meets customer requirements.

J. Direct and coordinate the implementation of new product lines.

K. Direct cost estimating and cost savings programs.

L. Coordinate support and communication with all functional departments.

M. Direct an R&D effort to assure that manufacturing keeps abreast and takes advantage of the latest technology and manufacturing systems.

N. Create an atmosphere and provide leadership that allows each manager to utilize his/her full potential to accomplish plant, region and product line objectives.

O. Provide decisions on quality related issues that cannot be brought to resolution at factory level.

P. Support meeting all of the criteria identified in the MESH Process, through genuine safety culture using systematic near misses approach. The plant manager is active member of the green team with focus in reduce the environment impact in the facility.

Y. Active member to facilitate risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Works with leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.

Z. Determines appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives.

Z. Supports creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.

  • Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)*

Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.

• Master’s degree highly preferred.

• Minimum 10 – 12 years manufacturing experience.

• 3 to 5 Years in a Manager Role

• Forecasting and budgetary experience.

• Solid communication skills.

• Strong Lean Culture knowledge

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Bilingual English/Spanish.
