Job Summary

Candidate will serve as a GPS Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide consultation and technical expertise to the Program Manager, Technical Leads, and Sponsor on technical matters pertaining to Global Positioning System (GPS)/ Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and the mathematical basis of the Estimation and Prediction of Orbits and Clocks to High Accuracy (EPOCHA) software. Guiding the development, implementation and evaluation of new mathematical algorithms, leading detailed analysis, providing assistance with troubleshooting of operational issues with the sponsor, and documenting mathematical formulation and analyses. Duties will include mentoring junior scientists and assist in the development of the next generation of GPS/GNSS experts.

Minimum Requirements

Fifteen (15) years of experience in mathematical formulation, research and development, and analysis.

Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise with applied mathematics, estimation theory, Kalman Filtering, Global Positioning Systems, orbital mechanics and/or geodesy.
