Position Title USW Systems Engineer

AECOM is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for AN/SQQ-89 Program. Primary responsibilities include:
Project management, research, and engineering analysis related to the design, development, integration, production and installation of surface ship combat, control and/or situational awareness systems.
Candidates must meet ONE of the following requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, or related scientific field or equivalent or
Eight (8) years of AN/SQQ-89 or Aegis combat system experience or
Eight (8) years of experience with US Naval operational experience in a combat systems rate at the E7 level or higher
In addition to the above, requires seven (7) years of engineering experience with a Maritime major weapons control or command and control (C2) system including the following:
Experience related to the design, planning, analysis, research, testing or documentation of complex systems through the complete engineering life cycle.
Four (4) years of concurrent experience with Navy surface ship Undersea Warfare weapons control or C2 systems.
Three (3) years of concurrent demonstrated expertise understanding and developing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Interface Change Requests (ICD), Interface Design Specifications (IDS), Weapon Specifications (WS) and other system design/system integration documents.
Experience with weapon and combat system certification processes and requirements, specifically self-certification criteria for elements of the Aegis Warfare System
Good communication and analytical skills. Position will require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
