Job Summary


DUTIES: Perform planning of highway and bridge construction projects from inception to completion. Develop safe work plans, project plans, cost fee estimates and quality review procedures. Coordinate with the project team, clients and subcontractors to ensure delivery of quality product in timely manner. Experience with project budgeting, forecasting and tracking. Analyze and verify invoices from within and from the subcontractors using the company's billing and invoice platform/software. Schedule projects for various TxDOT, MnDOT, NYSDOT, NJDOT projects, including developing proposals, baseline, and updated project schedules using Forward Pass - Backward Pass scheduling techniques, Primavera-P scheduling software, MS Project scheduling, PmWeb and SA Pro & Xer toolkit for scheduling analysis and delay analysis. Experience with cost and resource loading the schedules using the DOT specifications and production rates. Develop time determination schedules and resources schedules to estimate the workforce required to perform the job. Maintain and analyze contractor schedules and provide recommendations. Review of contract documentation and assist with development lookaheads and perform delay analysis. Set up projects to ensure successful inceptions and develop quality reports. Review project plans, proposals, and construction drawings using AutoCAD software. Develop cost estimates using Timberline estimating software. Perform contract and schedule negotiations. Perform project budgeting. Conduct kickoff meetings and biweekly progress meetings with clients and contractors. Must have experience working on transportation, transit, buildings, water and environmental schedules. The experience should include but not limited to time determination schedules, proposal schedules, design schedules, baseline schedules, schedules for design-build jobs, monthly schedule update, look-ahead schedules for projects ranging from couple thousands to billion dollars with minimum supervision. Ability to perform the operations on all types of projects i.e. design, construction, design-build and P3 types of projects. Provide CPM training opportunities to the client and colleagues, as needed. Generate the monthly written progress report describing activities during the reporting period, activities planned for the following period, problems encountered and actions taken to remedy them. Generate project status report. Coordinate issues and communications with affected counties, cities, and other governmental agencies through the State DOT's Project Manager.

Minimum Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Construction Management and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience involving: Forward Pass - Backward Pass scheduling techniques; Delay Analysis; PMWeb; AutoCad software; Timberline estimating software; Primavera-P6 scheduling software; MS Project scheduling; and SA Pro & Xer toolkit for scheduling analysis; and highway and bridge construction projects. Position also requires limited travel within Texas.
