IBM Senior Corporate Accountant in DALLAS, Texas
• Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting activities and monthly close process for certain high-risk and complex accounts assigned to you, assuring timely and accurate reconciliation of applicable worldwide balance sheet accounts and disclosures• Responsibilities include but not limited to: posting journal entries, performing internal controls such as reviews and reconciliations, performing account and foreign currency (Fx) analysis, vendor set-up, and assisting with financial statement presentation• Interface with other finance functional areas to ensure complete transactional and operational efficiency at all times• Assist with the coordination of the annual audit, statutory audits, and interim reviews• Assist in acquisition accounting and integration of acquired companies, as required• Partnering with our international accounting/finance services provider to implement efficient accounting solutions for our growing foreign entities• Standardization of accounting processes and tools across the organization, promoting best practices within the finance/accounting functions• Assist with the assessment, management, and enhancement of the financial control environment• Contribute to the mentoring/leading and technical GAAP development of other team membersCLDSFT5K
• 5-7 years’ experience in progressive accounting-based or general ledger roles• Knowledge and experience in US GAAP including chart of accounts, journal entries, balance sheets, and reconciliations• Four-year degree in accounting, business or a related field• Experience working with internal and external auditors
