Within our software lab in Delft, the Netherlands, we currently have one vacancy for experienced ISIM Adapter / DOT Visual developer.EnvironmentAs a software developer, you'll be part of a development team and the focal point for the testing of our Identity Adapters for z/OS and the testing and developing of our DOT Visual z/Secure client software. As ISIM software developer you can occasionally help writing adapter code but the main focus will be on the testing and code inspections. As DOT Visual developer you are responsible for building and testing the z/Secure visual client software based on the given specifications and in some cases, specific client requirements. You will be part of the Delft Software Lab in which we design and build the z/Secure security software for the IBM Mainframe platform (z servers). Our software will exploit z/OS and z/VM operating system features and is interwoven with multiple z/OS security software products as for example RACF. It also support multiple subsystems like CICS, IMS and DB/2 and send data to external products like QRadar and ArcSight.

About the job

As ISIM software developer you are the primary contact for adapter related questions, issues and release planning. As such you will have to work together with the product owner to define and track release content based upon new RFE's, existing PMRs, currency support and new products or opportunities. You will participate and/or organize web sessions for customers and co-worker to resolve problems or demonstrate new functionality. As developer you are also the prime contact for L2 support team and co-workers that participate in Proof of Concepts. We have our own documentation team that is responsible for all our documentation and as developer you will also have to work with that team to ensure the correct documents are available to the end-users of the product. As developer you will develop new Identity adapter for z/OS features or add new functionality to our z/Visual client software, and you will act as a L3 support engineer to diagnose and resolve reported problems . For testing you will work closely together with the QA/Test Team and you of cause can be involved in testing some other developer’s code, like functional verification testing or regression testing for a new release. As part of the Agile development cycle, the developer needs to provide feedback on usability, serviceability and documentation and reports the current status to the appropriate audience.Within our development organization we strive to develop using the agile development principles and by doing so the developer will work closely together with other team members. Our backlog planning can start on an epic level and will be broken into stories that can be executed during fixed length sprints. As both our software and the z platform are considered to be highly complex, the will to succeed, a strong personal drive and the ability to think analytically above average, are considered to be very important personal abilities.   • Is a self-motivated individual, with a minimum of four years’ experience as a software developer on either a z server platform or Unix-Linux platform,

  • Must be willing to gain knowledge of the z Platform and relevant subsystems from a security point of view.

  • Has programming experience in one or more of these languages: C, C++ and preferable VB.NET or C Sharp

  • Has four years of Unix-Linux development experience

  • Has experience with MS Visual Studio

  • Is used to work with ambiguity in a matrix oriented, fast paced, environment

  • Is a self-motivated individual, with a minimum of four years’ experience as a software developer on either a z server platform or Unix-Linux platform,

  • Must be willing to gain knowledge of the z Platform and relevant subsystems from a security point of view.

  • Has programming experience in one or more of these languages: C, C++ and preferable VB.NET or C Sharp

  • Has four years of Unix-Linux development experience
