POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the daily operation of the center to include but not limited to planning, organizing, staffing and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the imaging centers. Functions in cooperation with the Central Florida Regional Hospital leadership team in developing plans, policies and procedures to efficiently and effectively meet the objective of providing quality care at LAD Imaging. Responsible for business development of the center in conjunction with the Marketing Representative. The Administrator, in conjunction with the Medical Director, shall ensure that the center complies with the requirements of any governmental or regulatory body having jurisdiction in the premises or use of the Center, to meet such quality standards as set forth by the selected accrediting agency, and assist the radiologists, radiation oncologist to ensure that medical practice and procedures meet such standards. Ensure the available resources are provided to adequately maintain the physical property and equipment of the Center to assure good working order and conditions.
The Administrator accepts the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the centers and staff to assure quality and timely service. The Administrator is responsible for meeting regulatory standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures, managing supplies and equipment, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health-care providers, promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, and appropriately managing resources.

SUPERVISES: A multimodality technical imaging staff and a clerical staff which includes registrars, schedulers, insurance verifiers, and medical records staff.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Ensure that the day to day operations are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standards.
Call upon and coordinate the use of corporate support services.
This includes, but is not limited to, corporate legal and financial data processing, staffing, credentialing, marketing, human resources, and development expertise.
The Administrator must build the center’s reputation with physicians, patients, third party payors and the community in general.
Maintain a high level of personal service to physicians and their patients.
Maintain appropriate levels of personnel (this includes hiring, monitor staff schedule with volume needs, assigning, maintaining compensation levels; approve merit evaluations and salary increases, as well as conference and discharge, when necessary).
Participate in professional and community organizations to promote better public relations and interact with the general public in the area relating to health care.
Understand, implement and maintain personnel policies as guided and supported by Human Resources. This includes but is not limited to: employee benefit package, wage and salary program, performance management, and position management.
Establish appropriate internal organizational lines of communication, authority and accountability.
Act as a liaison with third party payers (educate and encourage industry, third party payers and “the public” to utilize the Center).
Maintain procedure manuals and operating forms.
Supervise and work closely with key leadership to institute budget controls, monitor accounts receivables and payables, prepare and project annual budgets.
Approve purchase orders, invoices, and sign checks.
Profit and loss responsibility.
At a minimum manage budget expectations.
Analyze and update fee structure in coordination with managed care.
Implement ongoing Performance Improvement Program.
Consult specialists in areas necessary to maintain the delivery of high standards of health care and ensure the implementation of these standards at the Center.
Utilize specialty personnel to ensure compliance with any state or federal guidelines (i.e. biomedical, pharmaceutical, environmental controls, materials management, radiology, medical records, and personnel).
Conduct staff meetings at regular intervals for informative and educational purposes.
Ensure that maintenance of equipment used in imaging and any ancillary equipment is done regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards.
Communicate with hospital administration in overlap markets.
Implement Best Practices and follow-up.
Oversee contracted services (i.e. janitorial, landscaping maintenance, etc.). Implement on-going risk management program.
Complete required training necessary to fulfill the role of ECO, FPO, and FISO for the facility. Ensure policy review, contracting policy, and training and reporting is done on a timely basis.
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
4 year Bachelor’s Degree required
State of Florida License
ARRT or ARDMS or NMTCB
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
5 years’ experience required
3-5 years progressive management experience required including financial as well as personnel management experience, a healthcare background, and managed care contract understanding is required.
