The Executive Consultant reports to and serves in a chief of staff role for Vice President. Provides leadership and facilitation in the resolution of highly strategic and sensitive issues or projects of regional, statewide, cross-entity and cross-functional scope and reports directly to senior leadership. Acts as an advisor and thought partner by leading teams to identify, track and measure issues, project plans and associated risks for resolution and consolidation, providing expert level consulting capabilities to the functional area to realize leaders' strategic agendas. The position includes developing, planning, and supporting the organizational management processes including, but not limited to, leadership forums, budgets, goals, and operational and strategic project reviews. Partners with functional leads including, but not limited to, finance, human resources, communications and compliance as necessary. Lead teams to gather data, research and consolidate issues, summarize information and making recommendations with relevant stakeholders to advance the senior leaders' agenda. Routinely and proactively represents the executives' positions in meetings, committees and in developing integrated functional projects, communication plans and scorecards to measure effectiveness of initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities: - Manage/lead, with VP and his/her direct reports, multi-year planning process to establish business process improvement agenda. Manage agendas, timing, and coordination and content for Leadership Team. Supports the planning, management and execution of key business processes associated with management of department, including but not limited to, goal setting and performance management, strategic planning, communications and tactical initiatives. Drives internal planning processes associated with the development of goals and priorities. Applies process improvement methods and tools to improve and/or redesign organizational business processes. - Prepare presentation and other communications for the VP, and engage with other executive/internal consultants and departments in supporting VP presentations and communications. Represent the executive in meetings and committees and acts as a communication liaison between various stakeholders and direct reports by providing advice and speaking for the executive. - Leads and/or participates on high priority projects to achieve organizational goals and objectives on behalf of the executive. Leads large projects or oversees regional programs such as complex improvement projects to identify and resolve issues of strategic importance. Leads ad hoc work teams to identify, analyze and formulate solutions to issues, prepare project plans and help ensure follow through and completion of project plans. Designs research plans for data gathering and analysis, interprets analysis and develops action plans accordingly. Develops proposals outlining proposed project structure, approach and work plan and creates, implements and manages work plans in order to meet project goals. Provides leadership and expert consultation on the design, development and implementation of programs. - Manages annual budget process and various financial tasks for VP. Directs the development and execution of the functional area's operating and capital budgeting process, as well as ensures the development of accurate monthly forecasts. - Manages compliance monitoring and compliance-related corrective action plan reporting for VP. - Acts as an advisor and thought partner by structuring undefined issues for resolution, researching issues, summarizing information and working with relevant stakeholders to provide the executive with the information needed to make sound decisions. Provides leadership, consultation and analysis regarding state-wide, cross-entity or cross-functional performance and strategic opportunities. Identifies and recommends approaches to issues and identifies the most effective means of solving the issues.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum five (5) years of experience in sales and account management, consulting, operations or project management. Education - Bachelor's degree in business, health care administration, marketing, communications or other relevant field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field. - High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration - N/A

Additional Requirements: - Experience with business process improvement and the tools and data requirements for supporting an effective business process improvement project. - Demonstrated ability to determine key business issues and develop appropriate action plans from multidisciplinary perspectives. - Demonstrated performance in strategic/operational analysis and planning, analytical techniques, financial and market assessments. - Proven leadership skills in project management and/or consulting. - Ability to exercise good judgment and political astuteness. - Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities in managing a wide range of projects. - Demonstrated ability to structure, drive and execute complex multi-disciplinary issues to closure with minimal direction. - Proven ability to effectively manage in ambiguous situations with minimal direction. - Proficient in team building, conflict resolution, group interaction, project management, and budget management. - Demonstrated ability to lead professionals and manage others through influence and collaboration. - Outstanding written and oral communication skills required. - Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. - Applies complex principles, theories, and concepts. - Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.

Preferred Qualifications: - Minimum ten (10) years of experience in sales and account management, consulting, operations or project management in a health care setting preferred. - Program management experience preferred.
