This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person.

Under the supervision of the CEO, the VP for Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children is responsible for the administrative direction, evaluation, and coordination of the functions and activities of assigned departments within the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children and ensures operation objectives and results are in accord with overall hospital needs. Additionally, he/she is responsible for integrating the vision of the corporation with internal organizational information, market research and environmental analyses in order to formulate with the CEO, a workable, long-term strategic direction for the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. * Ensures the consistent and effective execution of key systems and processes that make effective use of organizational resources. * Directs the collection and analysis of data for the strategic planning purposes and other plans developed to meet hospital strategic initiatives. * Responsible for developing and implementing an annual business plan aligned with the strategic objectives identified for RMHC as determined by the CEO and executive team. * Leads the Strategic Planning process including regular progress updates. Focus will be on developing tracking and reporting mechanisms to insure that strategic objectives are measurable. Strategic planning, business development, sale of services is directed at increasing awareness and use of our facility, products, services and physicians. * Leads the implementation of new business opportunities as determined through market research, proformas and the strategic planning process. * Responsibility and oversight for the implementation of the strategic plan across all service lines. * Cultivates relationships with physicians by developing & conducting needs assessment survey—design, letters, operationalize, and implementation of succession planning protocol. * In conjunction with CMO, reviews annual physician engagement survey and develops and executes communication plan to the medical staff. * Works closely with HCAPS adult employed practices to develop and oversee growth opportunities. * Develops and oversees primary care growth plan for RMHC services including establishment of new PCP clinics and relationships with urgent care centers. * Engages staff, physicians and community in regard to Business development initiatives. * Collaborates directly with physicians to discuss growth opportunities related RMHC strategic plan. * Leads a team or unit to enhance product or service quality; drives the business toward enhanced product or service quality. * Creates a work environment in which employees committed to their organization and feel pride and job ownership. * Builds strategic alliances and partnerships within the organization to collaboratively execute business strategies. * Creates an environment in which products and processes are designed to ensure customer satisfaction; effectively incorporates customer perspectives in all business activities.

*Education: *Master’s degree in marketing, business administration or related business field required. Emphasis in healthcare preferred.

Experience:5 years of progressive experience in operations, strategic planning, business development, marketing and communications in a health care environment.

Special Qualifications:Requires a high level of technical knowledge in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising. A high degree of analytical ability and strategic thinking required in the development of strategies and plans for the entire Medical Center. Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively with all levels within the organization and outside firms and agencies. Ability to lead people and get results through others. Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year time span. Marketing and service systems development and deployment. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. Strong customer orientation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills. High performance teams and a strong team player
