*SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *

Obtain quality CT images.

Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates CT equipment safely.

Demonstrates ability to perform all necessary computer operations.

Render patient care in professional and courteous manner.

Prepare CT scanner and perform quality control tests.

Assist the radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.

Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.

Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties.

Completes and maintains educational requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE* Required: ARRT and at least one year experience in Diagnostic Radiology Preferred: One-year as a CT technologist


EDUCATION* Required: Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: (Required or Preferred) American Registry of Radiologic Technology (required) Current BLS certification (required) ARRT - CT Technology (preferred) American Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred) IV Competence and experience (preferred)
