THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

Summary:

The Housing Manager is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of 5 and up to potentially 15 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)/ Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) Trailer Mounted Housing Units in Presidio, TX.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Manage housing rentals and leases and follow all procedures for Quarters Management Information System (QMIS).

  • Manage refurbishing after move out.

  • Supervise any work been done at each house.

  • Manage a maintenance program for 5 housing units.

  • Determine what renovations or alterations that are needed to keep the housing units functioning at an optimal level.

  • Supervise an AC Preventive Maintenance Program for ICE Housing Units

  • Make sure that all air conditioning units are cleaned and checked once a year.

  • Make sure that all filters are changed or cleaned every two months.

  • Supervise any work been done at each housing unit.

  • Provide communication to tenants on ICE Housing standards.

  • Keep track of all invoices and work orders

  • Provide updated housing inventory.

  • Provide information to R & A Project coordinators via teleconference, emails and faxes.

  • Record facilities deficiencies for general repair and alteration.

  • Respond to emergency call and provide emergency repairs On-call 24/7.

  • Schedule and replace all ICE Housing HVAC filters every 2 months or as needed.

  • Make recommendations whether any major repairs are needed. Supervise all contracted major repairs that require specialized services that include HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.

  • Perform light maintenance duties for this role includes the following: o

  • Plumbing repairs

  • Heating and air conditioning inspections, filter replacement and minor repairs

  • Minor electrical repairs

  • Appliance repair and replacement

  • Replacement of outdated appliances

  • Replacement of window screens

  • Grounds maintenance, grass cutting and snow removal, on an as needed basis

  • Painting

Non-Essential Duties:

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Minimum three years of experience in Housing/Leasing Management. High school diploma required. Prior experience with DHS is desired.
