Job Description:

CACI is seeking an Accounting Supervisor/Accounts receivable to work in Fairfax, VA.

This is a fully funded immediate hire supporting our client in Fairfax, VA. Candidate must have a current TS/SCI w/poly.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Candidate will provide support to the client’s Business Management Group (BMG) by performing duties associated with accounts payable or accounts receivable and other related accounting and financial activities. The candidate will maintain and routinely update financial data, including financial records related to “fee for service” products our client provides to its customers. This support will include preparing and reconciling individual monthly financial statements for more than 50 individual customer accounts. The candidate will maintain accurate and current accounting records to show funding received or funding expended and will assist in the preparation of reports and forecasts of estimated future customer funding requirements. The candidate will assist in the adoption and maintenance of new accounting and related financial procedures and internal controls. RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will support the client’s Chief and Deputy Chief Financial Officer, budget officers, COTR’s, and CO’s by performing analysis of consolidated financial data and developing appropriate tables and charts that correctly reflect analysis for presentation in briefings, reports, and business or financial case reports by project, program or portfolio. The candidate will support the client’s management team and customer account managers through cash flow monitoring and reporting (providing updates to stakeholders on remaining funds available, shortfalls and delinquent accounts). The candidate will perform reconciliations between various sources to ensure data integrity; the reconciliations will include financial account reconciliations as well as service account reconciliations. The candidate shall support the clients’ efforts to audit the telecommunications services billed to customers and provide assistance to account managers in reconciling billing related questions from their customers.

The candidate will act as a subject matter expert on financial analysis issues. The Candidate will be responsible for the selection, adoption and use of proper statistical methods of analysis and presentation appropriate to a business problem. The candidate will develop and maintain cost models and approaches for budgeting, forecasting, and actuals. The Candidate will evaluate data quality, and advises on ways to improve data quality and ensure data integrity. The candidate will monitor and report appropriate performance metrics to the client’s business management team. The Candidate will assist in the forecast and tracking of financial results throughout the year to meet budget projections. The candidate will support the client’s monthly billing processes coordinating with the business units to insure accuracy and timeliness of internal financial information. The candidate’s support of the billing process may also include including accounts receivable functions, data entry, education/training, invoice review, error checking, and dissemination. The candidate shall support the development and implementation of cost recovery tools and methodologies to help improve the functionality of monthly statements, workflows and cost reconciliation. The candidate shall support all levels of the client’s BMG team to track and provide funding strips in support of locally procured bandwidth at customer sites and other non-bandwidth related costs to include but not limited to the support of shipping hardware, purchase of BOM, and travel.

Additional RESPONSIBILITIES include preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends; maintaining accounting ledgers by posting account transactions, and verifying accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. This position requires the candidate to maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls, securing financial information by completing data base backups, and maintaining financial historical records by filing accounting documents.

The Candidate will prepare briefings, documentation, and reports for business and financial case studies for assigned projects to include tables and charts that illustrate business analysis for presentations.

Provide program tracking support and analysis to government Program Managers, Project Managers, and COTRs.

Required Qualifications:

  • A current TS/SCI w/ fully poly clearance is required for this position

  • Candidate has proven experience with managing and analyzing large quantities of data in spreadsheets

  • Candidate must have accounts receivable experience

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while paying strict attention to detail

  • Candidate must have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, sumifs, pivots, etc.)

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Candidate must have a working knowledge of business requirements and communication tools used to perform customer billing functions

  • Candidate must have at least one year experience of MS-Office Suite

  • Candidate must have at least one year experience of MS-SharePoint

  • Candidate must have at least one year experience of project management

  • Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 7-9 years of related (technical program planning and implementation, contract interpretation, budget development and/or government project administration) experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Candidate has at least 3 years of accounts receivable experience

  • Candidate must have at least one (1) year experience of hands-on application of BMC Remedy

  • Candidate has three years of experience in the telecommunications services industry

  • Candidate is proficient in MS Office Suite applications

  • Candidate is proficient in MS SharePoint

  • Candidate is proficient in MS Project

  • Candidate is proficient in MS Visio

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

  • Certified Defense Finance Manager (CDFM)

  • Candidate has a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Additional experience is desired in the following areas: accounts payable, data warehouses / data marts; identifying and developing Business Analytic reports; use of Business Intelligence (BI) tools & software - specifically the Micro Strategy application and BMC Remedy; developing business cases; business performance measures and developing and writing Business Policies and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents as related to billing, funds collection and reconciliation. Knowledge of technical writing and documentation and the ability to document, create, and map processes and procedures across multiple business groups down to individual roles and RESPONSIBILITIES within the organization.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

This position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business with 7-9 years of experience required, but for this position, a Bachelor's Degree in an accounting related subject or higher plus 4-7 years; a Doctorate with 2 years; a Masters with 3 years; or an Associates with 8 years is acceptable.
