Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To support the Business and Finance Analytics team in delivering high quality analysis across all areas of the business

§ Contribute to producing the monthly financial statements with relevant variance and ratio analysis

§ Contribute to the analysis of global sales performance, assisting in production of key sales performance reports, including trend and variance analysis to prior periods/ forecasts

§ Contribute to the production of monthly underwriting reports with analysis of key metrics driving profitability of the business

§ To produce daily KPI s to track financial, sales and operational activity including forecasting monthly outturn

§ To provide support to the actuarial function in reserving and pricing analytics with a focus on the Europe legal entity

§ Contribute towards the timely and accurate delivery of reporting to regulators, reinsurers and auditors

§ Assist with the quarterly forecasting and annual planning process for sales and underwriting contribution

§ Assist with the delivery of any additional strategic and tactical projects undertaken by the team

§ Perform any other ad-hoc duties or new tasks within the department as prescribed by management

§ Attendance at monthly meetings to comment on business performance and highlight areas of concern/ opportunity

§ A key element of the role will be to extract data from the operating platform and to manipulate and analyse the data in Excel to report to the business (for all of the processes mentioned above)

§ Ensure that the data is maintained in an accurate and timely manner and that it meets the changing needs of the business

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

§ Graduate (preferably in a math s/finance discipline)

§ Strong Excel skills desirable, including but not limited to; pivot tables, graphs, formulae (vlookups, sumifs, etc)

§ Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure

§ Strong financial & analytical skills

§ Strong interpersonal skills, confident dealing with people across seniority levels and departments

§ Good use of initiative to drive analysis and information

§ Collaborative team player
