Job Description:

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will serve as the Visitor Control Specialist at CACI’s Communications Systems Support Facility and work within the scope of the Security, Facility and Operations functional areas. They will control access to and maintain accountability of personnel throughout a large contractor facility. Assist the Facility Security Officer in accordance with the NISPOM, company policies/procedures and other government security regulations requirements. Serve as the focal point for controlling access to the facility and provide Administrative support to program operational functions.

Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary duties will include:

· G reeting personnel, controlling facility access and coordinating employee/visitor badge management

· Maintain visitor logs, records of badges issued and keeping watch for any suspicious activity.

· Ensure prohibited and restricted items are not brought into or leave the facility

· Interact with and assist employees and visitors with directions to various locations and provide other customer service functions.

· Assist in facilitating security briefings and training for individuals/groups as required.

· Ensures smooth flow of visitors in the lobby area when training classes, meetings or seminars are held at the facility.

· Utilize the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) to verify and track personnel security clearances, as required.

· Processes visitor requests and enters clearance information into SIMS database.

· Answers incoming telephone calls and questions from visitors.

· Handles outgoing and incoming mail, ensuring it is delivered or picked up promptly.

· Assist with operations of intrusion detection systems and access control devices and respond to alarms as required.

· Protect classified information, monitor security procedures, ensuring compliance with all aspects of the program including personnel, physical and administrative security systems and procedures.

· Assist the FSO in gathering information pertaining loss or possible loss of information and identifying security violations.

· Assist FSO in creating security policies and procedures to safeguard national security information/equipment and company/customer intellectual property.

· Serve as an alternate COMSEC Custodian managing accountability of CCI equipment.

· Provide support to other security disciplines as determined by the Facility Security Officer.

Must be proficient in the following computer applications: Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet. Proficiency and ability to maintain multiple databases.

Required Qualifications:

This position requires a bachelor's degree and six year's security-related experience, to include: applicable security discipline principles, visitor control and/or receptionist functions.

Must have current final Secret or above security clearance.

Must have industrial security experience and an in-depth knowledge of the NISPOM.

Must have experience with personnel security, document and visitor control.

Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally with all levels of staff and outside personnel.

Must have experience in the U.S. Government, DoD, or contractor community in visitor control, receptionist or security management.

Desired Qualifications:

Completion of FSO Certification would be a plus.

Completion of additional DSSA correspondence courses would be a plus.

Competed DSSA course - JPAS/JCAVS Virtual Training for Security Professionals

Competed DSSA course - Introduction to Personnel Security

Competed DSSA course – FSO Role in the NISP

Competed DSSA course – Introduction to Industrial Security

Competed DSSA course – Essentials of Industrial Security Management
