Job Description

The Center of Excellence is responsible for the design, development and delivery of both formal and informal learning solutions and assets that create the development experience for a select group of partners. The COE combines live and digital learning, communities and collaborative learning, content curation, and cutting edge experiences to ensure partners have access to the right learning at the right time and in the right place.

Members of the COE Learning and Development team work collaboratively across multiple functions in our internal firm services and client service groups to translate strategic priorities into value add-development opportunities that lead to business results.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 8

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED

Degree Preferred: MBA or Graduate degree

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

-Thorough and open-minded understanding of adult learning theory, a key element of which should be directly related to executive/C-suite development (educational background and significant work experience with senior executives), digital learning technologies (both current and emerging, including gaming, simulations and virtual reality), experiential learning and project management; and,

  • Adult learning theory, instructional design and digital learning technologies (existing and emerging), evaluation and assessment of learning and business impact, performance analysis and improvement, project management and senior level stakeholder management and relationship building.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in leading international teams in the following areas:

  • Identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining extensive client relationships across multiple cultures using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials with ease and clarity to senior business leaders; defining resource requirements, project workflow, and budgets;

  • Leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate virtually-based members, as well as well as serving as a team member thereby creating an atmosphere of trust. Evidence of appreciating and leveraging diverse views, encouraging improvement and innovation under tight deadlines, bringing a creative edge to forward looking solutions;

  • Utilizing and applying strategic and practical leadership experience in both leading/managing and working with virtually-based teammates, supporting their ability to respond quickly under tight deadlines, work flexibly (across time zones, cultures and staff levels);

  • Guiding/overseeing multiple project and design streams, leveraging

project management skills to achieve curriculum/organizational goals; focused simultaneously in areas of innovation and new designs as well as bringing discipline to already established designs;

  • Working collaboratively to drive applied research objectives, learning theory applications, and continued enhancement of methods, processes, and tools/technologies;

  • Understanding adult learning theory, instructional design and digital learning technologies (current and emerging including experience with the latest authoring tools, simulation environments, virtual reality and other emerging learning technologies), evaluation and assessment of learning, performance analysis and improvement, and stakeholder management with particular focus on senior level learners/executive and c-suite development;

  • Collaborating through use of consulting and communication skills and persuasive ability to influence without authority; Confidence and capability to conduct conversations with a broad range of senior level partners, leaders, global client relationship partners, etc.;

  • Nurturing the skills and development of team members to achieve team goals; and;

  • Working within a professional services organization, preferably a large, multi-national consulting organization managed through matrix (business verticals and geography).
