Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide logistics support in an Army Program Office. Requires experience supporting electronic sensor systems or similar technical products. Experience with platform integration is highly relevant. Must have experience as a client-site contractor supporting military officers (CPT; MAJ; LTC; COL). Experience collaborating with acquisition specialists, cost analysts, systems engineers, and trainers is relevant. Requires a working knowledge of lifecycle documentation. Experience developing and revising Army logistics plans and related documents is highly relevant.

Coordinates the logistics and programmatic work of the program office and OEM contractors with basic logistics technology and information that ensures effective and economical support for material, service, equipment and systems.

Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Determines support requirements including facilities, personnel, safety, and maintenance.

-Directs and coordinates program activities designed to ensure effective and efficient economic support.

-Analyzes and evaluates design concepts to determine if concepts satisfy support requirements.

-Anticipates logistics problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors.

-Determines contingency requirements and solutions.

-May design and conduct research or technical studies to support logistic functions.

-Provides creative leadership from knowledge of industry best practices and most current developments in logistics.

-Determines logistic support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from location of operational area, and other factors, such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel.

-Participates in planning and policy development issues.

-Provides regular reporting to senior management on logistics issues.

-Participates in the creation of procedures and communication material that document logistic practices.

-Provides coordination, tracking, and management of contract delivery requirements listings (CDRLs) for numerous program office contracts with OEMs.

-Develops briefings, and coordinates technical and programmatic input from all functional areas across the program office.

-Manages SharePoint libraries and document staffing processes.

-Develops Statements of Work (SOW), milestone decision documents, and contract delivery requirements listings (CDRLs) in support of acquisition decisions.

Required Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 10-12 years of related experience.

-Acquisition logistics experience with full understanding of the DoD 5000 series requirements.

-Must have experience as a client-site contractor supporting military officers (CPT; MAJ; LTC; COL).

-Requires a working knowledge of lifecycle documentation.

-Active SECRET clearance required.

-Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
