Job Summary

AECOM is a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm . We are seeking 3rd and 4th year Instrumentation Apprentices Mechanic for a 35 day Shutdown at our IOL Kearl Location.

The shift rotation is 15 days on and 5 days off. Travel is provided from Calgary and Edmonton. There is a travel allowance and this position is OT eligible.

Ticket Requirements:

  • Standard First Aid

  • CSTS-09

May include the following responsibilities:

  • Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot and maintain instrumentation equipment on new or existing plant equipment

  • Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and control equipment

  • Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures

  • Use pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation, and diagnose faults

  • Consult with and advise process operators

  • Implement loss management practices

  • Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts

  • Do risk assessments

  • Calibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturers' specifications

  • Work with engineers on basic design

  • Install and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes

  • Interpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practices

Minimum Requirements

  • Alberta Certified Apprentice

  • Industrial experience, preferably in a live plant setting

  • First Aid

  • CSTS-09

Preferred Qualifications

  • Confined Space

  • Fall Arrest
