Minimum Requirements:

Education: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.

Licensure/Certifications: Current state Physical Therapy license. Current BCLS (CPR) certification.

Experience: Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting.

Position Summary:

Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy treatment, modalities and physical agents as prescribed by a licensed physician. Provides physical therapy treatments in an effort to restore function and assist patients in reaching their maximum level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff therapist coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to support staff including Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA), Rehabilitation Techs, Students and Volunteers. The staff therapist participates in performance improvement initiatives within the department, adheres to departmental budgetary guidelines and ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational fire and safety education and programs. Performs other duties at the delegation of the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
