CACI International Data Scientist in Ft Belvoir, Virginia
Develops or applies mathematical or statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to provide usable information.
Candidate must have 3-10 years of relevant experience; a bachelor degree in a field related to the support services may count for up to four years of this experience. The candidate must have demonstrated oral and written communication skills. The candidate must have an applied knowledge in at least one of three distinct areas, depending on mission requirements.
General knowledge of all three areas required:
Applied Mathematics – statistical and mathematical support to provide temporal and pattern analysis, correlation of events, probability analysis, assessments of sampling, analysis of variance and error, and regression.
Programming Skills – Write scripts in Visual Basic, Python, or other software for modeling processes, repeatability, efficiency, knowledge capture, hypothesis testing, and process automation.
Data Discovery – Document and visualize data both temporally and spatially to assist in data integrity checks, ask the question, and display analytical assessments.
BS or BA in Mathmatics or Applied Science
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
