Eaton Corporation Master Technician in Galesburg, Michigan
Eaton’s Industrial Sector is seeking a Master Technician. The Master Technician will be based in Galesburg, MI.
The Master Technician will be responsible for supporting root cause analysis for problem solving efforts, setting up and executing tests, and organizing and presenting failure analysis results as a member of the Industrial Sector Center Of Excellence with a focus on Vehicle products.
Define a problem and rapidly identify containment actions for emerging issues for mechanical and/or electrical systems.
Support root cause analysis / troubleshooting for both current product and new product mechanical and/or electrical systems issues.
Identify improvements to designs, assembly procedures, troubleshooting procedures or test methods.
Gather data through use of data loggers or troubleshooting tools and organize into a database or other usable format.
Perform basic data analysis through graphing, plotting, or basic descriptive statistics (mean, range, standard deviation, etc.).
Lead the problem solving process for moderately complex issues.
Set-up and execute vehicle-level or lab tests for current or new products.
Define, set-up, and verify measurement systems for design verification, root cause analysis, or performance testing.
Document results of testing or problem solving efforts in a clear and concise technical report.
Associate’s Degree from an accredited instituting.
Minimum of 5 years’ of experience as a technician working with vehicles.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Galesburg, MI will be considered.
Associate’s Degree in technical field (or equivalent).
Trouble shooting at the vehicle level
Commercial Vehicle Systems Knowledge
Strong computer database and systems experience
Commercial Driver’s License (Class A)
Knowledge in vehicle electrical systems and failure modes
Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
Experience with troubleshooting, especially vehicles.
