Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Construction Manager for immediate employment in the Germantown, MD office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the development and review of project deliverables

  • Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of projects

  • Responsible for ensuring proper quality control procedures are implemented on all projects

  • Contract management duties include COR responsibilities from project inception to completion including document preparation for RFP’s, solicitation requests, work/task order award requests, construction management support and project closeout

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Engineering or Construction Management

  • 8+ years of industry experience with installation and management of construction projects to integrate access control, CCTV, IDS and physical security devices for perimeter security

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, building design standards and customer requirements based on established security policy to meet criteria of end user customer

  • Microsoft office suite and experience with remote computing including shared document management and storage solutions

  • Must work independently with minimal supervision, and complete multiple technical tasks under tight deadlines

  • Must be able to work with other engineering disciplines at various locations, both internal and external to AECOM

  • Experience working with local, state and federal state permit agencies

  • Strong written and oral communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills

  • Proactive on assignments and demonstrate initiative

  • Must be eligible to obtain/hold T1 Public Trust “clearance” supported by a Limited Background Investigation (LBI). There is no National Security Information (NSI) security clearance required

  • Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience involving electrical engineering and construction management for related facilities and infrastructure projects
