Job Summary

PLEASE NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract award.

AECOM has several openings for qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanics - Journeyman, in various locations CONUS AND OCONUS.

Essential Responsibilities:

Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. Design products or systems in support of facilities' infrastructure, research, or maintenance requirements. Coordinate, troubleshoot, and approve installation activities as inspection services to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and specifications. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related scientific field and at least 3 to 10 years of job-related experience or equivalent.

  • Maintenance personnel shall have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance operations,including performance of maintenance and repair of commercial or military equipment.

  • Good communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred areas of commercial or military experience are with light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
