Position Title CAD/BIM Lead

Our Water team currently have a vacancy in our Glasgow office for a CAD/BIM Lead with experience of working on large range of civil and infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will be an experienced CAD technician and team leader, specifically with the Revit Suite of software and will have extensive experience on a variety of infrastructure projects. You will have a proven level of experience of delivering projects to client’s satisfaction at the appropriate standard, ensuring accuracy of Models and Drawings, ensuring that the relevant codes and standards are complied with. You will have strong development skills and the ability to develop and manage the work of others if and when required. You will also have the technical ability, knowledge and competence to provide guidance and to teach others.
The Glasgow office has an established track record of successfully delivering major projects. Our modern office in Glasgow has good transport links and accommodates a multidisciplinary design centre. The team is involved in projects in the UK, Europe and the Middle East with a wide variety of clients.
We are a multi-discipline team comprising civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process engineering delivering services to our clients such as feasibility studies, scheme designs and detailed designs. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include Scottish Water, United Utilities, HS2, Network Rail, Defence Infrastructure Service and several leading Contractor clients.
Substantial working experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry
Experience in managing/coordinating a CAD team
Structural background within Civil Infrastructure, preferably with experience in the Water industry
Experienced user of Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
Experience in reinforced concrete detailing required, with CADS-RC or similar software knowledge an advantage
Working knowledge of CIC BIM Protocol, PAS 1192 and related standards
Experience with other BIM software such as Autodesk Navisworks, BIM360 Glue, Infraworks, AutoCAD Civil 3D, etc. an advantage
ProjectWise, A360/BIM360, 4Projects, Aconex or similar knowledge an advantage
Ability to manage small CAD team and balance resourcing requirements to support the design team
Ability to support project team with data management and delivery including filing, control of incoming/outgoing documents, scanning, etc.
Provide guidance to less experienced CAD Technicians
A good team player confident to liaise with other staff locally and across the global business
• Managing CAD deliverables for multiple projects to completion within budget
• Effectively manage own time across multiple projects
• Undertake CAD duties unsupervised whilst managing other CAD staff
• Advise and mentor Trainee Technicians
• HNC/HNC or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering
