Collection and Recovery Strategies develops tactics that help our customers through difficult times while mitigating losses for the Bank. The Consumer Product Strategy Analyst must be able to work independently to develop recommendations that consider their research and analysis, the regulatory framework, and competing strategies. The analyst must then utilize communication and influencing techniques to build consensus and driveimplementation. This high visibility position offers a unique opportunity to interact with senior managers and drive significant business results.

The Specialized Portfolio and Customer Segments Strategies team leverages a combination of quantitative and coding skills to maximize ROI while maintaining operational quality and ensuring a positive customer experience. Analytics focus areas include:

• Expense and loss optimization of pre charge off offers

• Refining operational processes to the current loss environment

• Performs analytics on multiple products such as Auto, Consumer Card, and Business Lending

Position description:

Responsible for performing complex analysis aimed at improving portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting and operational performance for consumer products and the related divisions such as credit cards and consumer vehicle lending. While this position has no direct people management responsibilities, it does require the ability to interact with business partners both within and external to the department. This position requires being the subject matter expert on multiple business-related and technical-related topics and an ability to independently drive strategic improvements. Key functions involve owning asset quality monitoring, identifying business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions, and executing strategic enhancements. Responsible for Strategy Management and mentoring less tenured analysts. Communicates business trends, creates financial assessments and interprets risk analytics for senior management. Proven experience at developing technical skills of their team. Detailed knowledge of SAS / SQL, financial statements, and business processes preferred. 3+ years Strategic Analysis experience preferred.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years programming and analytics experience with SAS

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills as demonstrated by 3+ years of experience

  • Strong evidence of leveraging analytics to drive business results

  • Test/Control design and statistical analysis of results

  • Quantitative analyst experience, including skills like data mining and statistics

  • Skilled with MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Proficient at written and oral communication, including presentation skills

Desired Skills:

  • Programming and analytics experience with SQL

  • Experience working within the Bank's data infrastructure (BACARDI, The W, SQL Server, etc

  • Experience with business casedevelopment/financialstatements

  • Experience with process design/redesign (ex. Six Sigma, Engineering)

  • Advanced Degree (MBA (Operations preferred), Industrial Engineering, Statistics, etc.)

  • Experience in digital marketing / analytics

Enterprise Description:

Responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS and/or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years
