L3 Technologies Network Systems Engineer 5 in Greenville, Texas

Perform as part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR and communication platforms. The System Engineer is expected to: * Design and develop physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains * Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements * Perform requirement traceability methods and purpose * Perform systems engineering trade studies * Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness * Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements * Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design * Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements * Develop and execute network test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements * Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical network information to non-technical professionals * Lead a team, with multiple disciplines of engineering, to design a cohesive accreditable multiple security domain network, and integrate the resulting design in a MILSTD based development environment

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Systems, Telecommunications, etc.) and a minimum of 9 years of applicable experience. Strongly prefer: * Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification * Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification * Expert networking experience including IP addressing, switching and routing, video teleconferencing, VoIP telephony, and WANs * Expert in routing protocols including RIP, EGIRP, OSPF, and BGP * Certification and Accreditation process and implementation of systems that achieved an Authorization to Operate on government networks * Configuration and integration of routers, switches, and video teleconferencing equipment * Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills * Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers * Experience developing, authoring, and implementing software and system test plans in a team environment * Experience working successfully both independently and in a team environment with the ability to lead small test teams through an entire build cycle * Hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardware
