  • Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency

  • Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance problems and automate systems administration tasks

  • Manages and supports secure Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)

  • Performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing production problems; corrects identified problems

  • Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts

  • Provides monitoring and primary response and intervention for information technology related security incidents and violations

Work location - Ft. Eustis, VAThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance of US DoD Secret.   • Minimum of six years’ experience in the Information Technology field

  • 3 years recent (within last 2) experience in a DoD Enterprise Server Environment

  • Solid foundation (3 years) with troubleshooting both hardware and virtual Linux based computer systems

  • Currently hold CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent DoD 8570 baseline certification

  • Pass tests for Linux+ or Red Hat Administrator in the first three months of employment

  • Experience working in a VMware virtualized enterprise environment

  • 3 yrs experience in working with, analyzing, designing, configuring or troubleshooting Linux servers

  • 3 yrs experience in installing networks, hardware, exercising network security to include applying security patches, following security protocols and procedures, or maintaining network security

  • Experience in DoD security requirements and ensuring server compliance with DoD STIGS
