Agency Comp Systems Analyst

Target Openings:


Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Implement & test systems changes to model various compensation options and evaluate results.

Prepare various analyses and presentations to support modeled results.

Perform monthly reconciliations of premium, loss, and related agency operational information from source systems to the compensation system (iComp) that calculates commission awards.

Effectively evaluate issues that arise, provides meaningful assessment and recommendations to handle issues as they occur, and implements any corrective actions as necessary.

Calculate commission awards manually as necessary. Understands the terms of agency contracts in order to determine if calculations are being performed accurately.

Responsible for maintenance and changes to the systems programming and calculations.

Act as a key liaison with the Field organization as it relates to the agent compensation programs, researching and responding to any questions.

The Agency Compensation Analyst is also responsible for iComps development requirements process, including but not limited to the following: Elicits, analyzes, specifies and writes-up business, system and implementation requirements.

Ensure the requirements are unambiguous and understandable by both business users and solution delivery teams.

Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements effectively based on business value, risks and constraints.

Ensure the test strategy and test plans adequately cover the requirements.

Assist in defect resolution.

Measure and track quality of business analysis work. Upon implementation of system changes, verifies test results and proposes and implements required changes.

The individual may be required to lead project work as needed.

Maintain documentation and controls and follows all business practices for Audit purposes.

Job Summary:

Under limited supervision, the Agency Compensation Analyst is responsible for performing tasks related to the administration of agency compensation programs. The Agency Compensation Analyst is responsible for reconciliation and troubleshooting of the agency compensation system as well as working with the Field organization to address and respond to agency compensation questions. This job does not lead others.

Position Type:


Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Technical field preferred. Typically has a minimum of 4 years experience in an analytical role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid experience with Personal Computer software, including spreadsheet and database applications. Microsoft Office suite experience preferred. SQL, TM1, or similar experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma required. 3 years of experience in an analytic role required. Significant financial analysis experience required.
