Audit Project Manager/ Information Technology (IT)Aetna is on the lookout for an Audit Project Manager to join our SOX Compliance team. As a part of the SOX Compliance team, the Audit Project Manager will mainly be responsible for performing IT SOX compliance activities in conjunction with business owners. In addition, this individual may act in a project lead role in the day-to-day performance as well as oversight of SOX activities within assigned business areas.The SOX Compliance team oversees management efforts to comply with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) and Section 16 of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners Model Audit Rule (MAR).
We will strongly consider candidates without SOX experience and train them, provided individual has a solid understanding of information technology applications and/or infrastructure components, as well as knowledge/experience in mainframe, midrange, distributed/client server or platforms. Responsibilities of the SOX Compliance Project Manager:· Participate in the execution of IT general and application SOX and MAR compliance activities· Identify, document, review and validate test evidence · Assist management to evaluate quarterly roll-forward assessments · Assist business area in the documentation of internal control over financial reporting (ICOFR)· Evaluate and analyze business processes and how they affect the financial statements· Work with management to create Management Action Plans (MAPs) to resolve deficiencies or issues· Demonstrate a commitment to Aetna code of conduct and respect for diversityRequired Qualifications and Education:· Minimum 2 years of experience in IT audit or related information technology experience · Bachelor s Degree in Information Systems, Finance or related field· Microsoft Office proficient; particularly in MS Excel. · Ability to work independently· Strong analytical mindset· Ability to set priorities and manage workloadPreferred Qualifications:· Experience within the Health Insurance· Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance · Experience with financial statements· Advanced degrees/Professional certifications desired (e.g. CPA, CIA, CISA)
