Put your high level HEDIS Skills to work in an exciting role effecting process, application and partner with some of the best tech leads and have access to state of the art technology to ensure end product success.

The successful candidate will become the technical lead for the design, development and delivery of HEDIS and Medicare STARS measures and supporting processes for Aetnas book of business. This includes data acquisition, measures calculation, measures testing using NCQA test decks, sample population generation and chart review support for hybrid measures, and development of official reporting according to NCQA requirements.

Fundamental Components:

Serve as the end-to-end technical lead for processes that collect, cleanse and integrate data; calculate complex measures; and deliver a wide range of reporting and analytical products for internal and external use. Advise project teams in the interpretation of complex requirements and translation into system-ready specifications for project work. Lead and/or participate in analysis of data and results. Communicate clearly and at an expert level with clinicians and data experts within and outside of the company. Partner with technical leaders at Aetna to ensure that our systems remain current with emerging technologies. Ensure that technical products are produced according to standards and within agreed-upon schedules.


Six to eight years in application development, with exposure to all phases of the system development lifecycle. At least five years supporting a HEDIS systems solution. Outstanding communication skills. Strong background in clinical data and analytics. Proven leadership skills. Hadoop programming skills - Pig, Hive, Spark


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
