We design, manu­facture, and support the broadest range of high-performance microscopy workflows that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales for the electronics, life sciences, and materials science markets. We are growing our talented Mechanical Engineering team as we develop new innovative, automated solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the design of components and sub-assemblies for highly customized, multi-million dollar microscopes with sub-nanometer resolution by working closely with, and learning from, world class Marketing, Project Management, Operations, suppliers, and engineers and scientists of diverse backgrounds.

  • Concept, layout, and detail designs with analysis and testing as appropriate.

  • Integration, validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Support release to production.

  • Develop into a technical subject matter expert.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.

  • Precision machine design proficiency, including a strong familiarity with manufacturing techniques and capabilities, internal and external standards, GD&T, and design for manufacturability.

  • Experience with integration, validation, troubleshooting, and characterization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced technical degrees in Mechanical Engineering or a related field such as Physics.

  • Experience or familiarity with microscopy, vacuum, contamination, charged particle optics, high voltage, ceramics, semiconductor processes, vibration, thermal, and/or stress analysis.
