The Sr. Analyst/Analyst of the Financial Controls Center of Excellence (COE) is responsible for supporting the group and for ensuring appropriate levels of risk management over financial and operational environments and transactions within those environments.

The Sr. Analyst/Analyst will be responsible for internal control IFCR/SOX testing, performing risk assessments, building risk and control matrices, supporting the control framework that mitigates financial risks, financial misstatement and fraud across many of the following key financially relevant processes (Fixed Assets, Hire to Retire, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Project Accounting, Record to Report, Supply Chain Management, Treasury/Cash Management, Rights & Royalties, Tax). The role will also include partnering very closely with business owners on process and control improvements and gap resolutions.

The role will also include performing process reviews to evaluate current business practices, internal control structure, existing internal documentation, and implement any necessary changes or improvements; identify ICFR impact of changes in the control environment due to changes in accounting regulations, internal company policies, system enhancements or implementations, company reorganizations and make determinations for changes to existing controls or adding new controls when necessary. Support training efforts to improve the control understanding.

Work closely with internal auditors and owners on control finding remediation and re-testing, and ICFR reporting; Prepare monthly ad hoc reporting, maintain testing schedules, and additional ad hoc control and process improvement projects. Maintain trackers and schedules for the team.

Work Location: Hoboken, NJ (with flexibility to work remote 2 days per week).



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.

  • 1-3 years' experience working in an audit/finance role and/or general experience with internal controls. Highly analytical candidates with less experience will also be considered.

  • Exceptional organization, time management skills and ability to multi-task.

  • Excellent team-player and interpersonal skills: strong written communication skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively across various levels in the organization.

  • Project management experience; proven ability to continuously move forward multiple projects in various states.

  • Ability to effectively perform detailed analysis and big picture assessments of company processes and their related internal controls.

  • Proven ability to meet stringent reporting deadlines.

  • Excellent influencing skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial and process issues to non-technical people

  • Flexible, analytical, focused on results and efficiency and able to work independently
