The post-holder will beresponsible for both direct and support activities to increase the number ofuniversities and colleges which recognisePearson Test ofEnglish Academic (PTE Academic)as part oftheir international student admissions criteria. PTE Academicis a high stakes language test which is growing rapidlyworldwide, as a strong competitor to IELTS and TOEFL. The expanding Assessmentteam requires a self-starter to undertake several key activities:
1.Direct responsibility via email and telephone outreach andengagement to encourage the recognition of PTE Academic with several thousanduniversities and colleges in the USA. This will also include liaison withMarketing to design appropriate supporting email campaigns and establishwebinars on relevant topics. Success will be measured based on volume ofcontacts and conversion rates.
2.Product and systems training for admissions teams atinstitutions which already recognise the test, with training conducted by videoor telephone. The postholder must be comfortable presenting to externalstakeholders at different levels of seniority, including Directors and SeniorManagement.
3.Research key accounts and academics, producing summaryreports for a team of Client Relations Managers who will visit priorityinstitutions in the USA and Europe.
4.Liaison with Pearson colleagues in India, China, the MiddleEast and LATAM to design and jointly manage local campaigns.
This role will suit a highlymotivated and professional individual, who is comfortable in a fast paced environment,is target driven and has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The Assessment Team withinPearson is growing rapidly, and consists of dynamic and passionate individualswho are committed to the rapid growth in demand of PTE Academic.
Email and telephone outreach andengagement to encourage the recognition of PTE Academic with several thousanduniversities and colleges in the USA, including identifying key contacts ateach institution and customising email content and telephone/videopresentations, where appropriate. This will comprise circa 70% of the role andwill be target driven.
Liaison with Marketing to designappropriate supporting email campaigns and establish webinars on relevanttopics. This will comprise circa 10% of the role.
Product and systems training foradmissions teams at institutions which already recognise the test, withtraining conducted by video or telephone. This will comprise circa 10% of therole.
Research key accounts and academics,producing summary reports for a team of Client Relations Managers who willvisit priority institutions in the USA. This will comprise circa 5% of therole.
Liaison with Pearson colleagues inIndia, China, the Middle East and LATAM to design and jointly manage localcampaigns.
Regular reporting to internal stakeholders of recognitions achieved versustargets.
Occasional face-to-face meetings, where essential (whilst noting this isan ‘Inside Sales’ role and largely office based).
Other duties may be assigned, where appropriate.
Desk-based research of several thousand universitiesand colleges websites to collate a contact list
Email and telephone contact with decision makers at severalthousand universities and colleges, advising them on the benefits of PTEAcademic and demonstrating how this product will meet their specific needs. Successwill be measured by the rate of achieving formal recognition of PTE Academic
Management of the contact list and regular reporting ofprogress against defined efficiency metrics including number of contacts madeper week, email open rates, pipeline conversion rates etc.
Desk-based research of select universities and colleges,and key personnel, for Client Relations Managers who are based in the USA,producing a summary document for their meetings
Weeklyliaison with Pearson colleagues inIndia, China, the Middle East and LATAM to design and jointly manage localcampaignsand competitor data presented in a clearmanner, with the use of graphs, excel and powerpoint

Degree-level qualification is desirable
Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
Experience building and managing a pipeline of leads, preferably in an Inside Sales role, is desirable
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise

Excellent data analysis skills
Ability to work with relative autonomy
Knowledge of, or past experience in higher education admissions and recruitment is preferred
