TITLE: Audit Supervisor (Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc. – Hoboken, NJ and to various and unanticipated MMC office locations nationally and internationally)

DUTIES: Conduct more complex audit activities to analyze and evaluate the performance of MMC's financial, operational, and managerial processes systems to identify risks, areas for improvement, and to ensure that the organization complies with all relevent regulations, laws, and standards. Conduct routine and complex audit projects independently; plan, organize, and schedule own workload so that audit activities are completed accurately and on time. Collect, examine, analyze, and verify information about MMC's financial systems and processes by reviewing manuals, reports, financial statements, and other written materials, and by interviewing MMC employees where required. Develop recommendations for changes to processes and systems that will minimize risk, improve performance and productivity and ensure that the organization complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Prepare audit reports that accurately document the audit process and its findings. Coach less experienced team members and help them resolve problems. Participate in providing independent, objective assurance and consulting services to add value and improve business operations. Help establish a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. Coordinate efforts to execute audits of operating companies. Work on all aspects of the audit, including planning, documentation of process flows, execution of audit programs, fieldwork testing, report writing, and presentation to management. Contribute to planning in accordance with business risks, staffing resources, timelines, and budgetary constraints to determine the scope of work. Obtain a comprehensive understanding of the location's operations, risks and controls. Ensure all aspects of engagement are executed, including planning and conducting opening and closing meetings with clients. Ensure adequate workpapers and other supporting documentation are gathered and documented to analyze and evaluate the control environment. Ensure all workpapers are reviewed and closed at the completion of the audit. Identify control weaknesses, assess the impact of the weakness, and formulate effective and practical corrective actions for clients. Monitor the creation and consolidation of audit reports for review by Internal Audit Management. Ensure corrective actions and follow-up with clients where appropriate.
