About the Business Line

We provide cost and project management services, and specialist consultancy services, to public- and private-sector clients around the world, with a strong presence in Africa, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

Job Summary

Currently we have a long-term secondment opening for our client which is a well-known consumer lifestyle company.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate, manage and supervise the work of internal and external estimating resources.

  • Prepare conceptual estimates based on early stage designs for purposes of real estate strategy, planning, lease negotiations, and design approval.

  • Assist Development Managers in evaluating General Contractor proposals & change orders.

  • Assess cost effectiveness of alternate products, design options, and construction methods.

  • Assist Standards team in evaluating alternate new products and cost comparisons.

  • Work closely with RE&ED Design and external A/E firms during the preparation and review of all projects estimates.

  • Participate in constructability reviews for completeness of details and scope.

  • Liaise between RE&D Direct Sourcing and Development to optimize and vet project costs.

  • Compile, analyze, and summarize cost trends from completed projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education in Architecture, Engineering or applicable degree with graduate studies preferred.

  • 10 to 15 years Retail or Commercial Construction Experience within Asia and/or Australia.

  • Global experience with EMEIA and Americas a plus.

  • Minimum of 5+ years specifically in Conceptual estimating services for individual retail construction projects and/or design innovations.

  • Minimum of 5+ years specifically in ground-up high quality construction of retail, office, hospitality, civic or museum buildings.

  • Experience estimating cutting edge building systems such as facades, glazing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and interior finishes.

  • Fluent English
