Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Civil Engineer for immediate employment in the Honolulu, HI office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Independently perform engineering assignments requiring application of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria

  • Plan and design for infrastructure systems (roads, water, wastewater, drainage)

  • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates

  • Research alternative design approaches, regulatory agency specifications and requirements

  • Organize, schedule, and plan tasks and investigations

  • Manage tasks of a larger project or program under direction of a project manager

  • Field inspections to define site conditions, scope of project and inspect construction

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental or related engineering

  • 2+ years experience in design of infrastructure projects

  • FE, with the ability to obtain PE from State of Hawaii

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation

  • Must be a team player and possess strong interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with Civil 3D, GIS, Microsoft Office suite

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with local (Hawaii/Guam) clients

  • LEED Certification
