Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil Engineer for immediate employment for the Honolulu, HI office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Independently perform engineering assignments requiring application of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria

  • Planning and design for infrastructure systems (roads, water, wastewater, drainage)

  • Prepare and review plans, specifications, and estimates

  • Research alternative design approaches, regulatory agency specifications and requirements

  • Organize, schedule, and plan tasks and investigations

  • Manage tasks of a larger project or program under direction of a project manager

  • Field inspections to define site conditions, scope a project and inspect construction

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental or related

  • 2+ years experience in design of infrastructure projects

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client meetings and presentations and to prepare written reports

  • Must be a team player and possess strong interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with Civil 3D, GIS, Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Stormwater (NPDES) permits and Hawaii’s new Water Quality Rules

  • Experience with erosion sediment control and low impact development best management practice

  • Experience with local (Hawaii/Guam) clients

  • LEED certification

  • Project management training or experience

  • PE from State of Hawaii or able to obtain
