Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated and results oriented Senior Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team. Our AECOM Field Services Talent Acquisition team is a dedicated group of professionals who are committed to building our company’s greatest asset- our people. AECOM Field Services (AFS) is a new “start-up” within AECOM. AFS focuses on recruiting employees who will perform the work necessary to execute AECOM’s many projects. AFS employees are dedicated to field or client location assignments and work across all business lines and Regions or Metros in the United States. AFS positions include Field Technicians, Motorist Support Technicians, as well as Scientists and Architects…the key denominator is all are dedicated to executing a project at a client or field location. We prefer that this position be located in the central time zone to support all of the US.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage full life-cycle recruitment including creating search strategies, actively sourcing candidates, pre-screening, interviewing and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, negotiating offers and facilitating the hiring and on-boarding processes. Manage this recruitment process:

  • With AFS HRD and Hiring Manager to ensure AFS requirements are included in all postings and that job is understood so best sourcing channels are used

  • For new projects in anticipation of winning work and deploying new hires to perform the work

  • For new or existing projects requiring tight turnaround. AFS has a targeted cycle time of 30 days

  • With candidate pools that are sometimes less technology savvy and requires more contact time to guide them thru the process

  • With alternative posting processes, whether it is Craig’s lists or other skill specific job boards tailored to the workforce being sourced

  • With attention to detail in ensuring best candidates are being identified for the position. Pre-screening and preliminary interviews should result in best candidates being provided to manager that have the best chance of success of passing the pre-employment requirements (Background check, drug screen, medical questionnaire, etc.)

  • Provide consultation to hiring managers on all aspects of the hiring process, including hiring strategies, recruitment cycle timing, coaching and guidance on best practices and sourcing trends

  • Responsible for developing, recommending and executing recruitment strategy with decision makers to ensure a successful candidate search within the identified time frames

  • Use proactive methods to network with, associations or job boards that target Veterans in order to build candidate pool

  • Build relationships and communicate consistently and proactively throughout the recruitment process to ensure all participants in the hiring process are updated and well informed

  • Create a positive candidate experience (for both the selected and non-selected candidates) throughout the entire recruiting process

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 7+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience including 3 years sourcing employees who work in some kind of field capacity in any of the following industries: Architecture/Environmental/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C)

  • Proven experience identifying and hiring talent in a technical industry (i.e. transportation, environmental, water/waste water, construction etc.)

  • Experience building strong business relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers

  • Must have strong written/verbal communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, and the ability to make cold calls

  • Experience utilizing Kenexa BrassRing Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and proficient with MS office

  • Must have strong sourcing and networking skills

  • Experience maintaining confidential and sensitive information with proven ability to make decisions based on sound judgment

  • Experience working with geographically-dispersed, virtual teams, as well as have the ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to change recruitment direction and priorities, based on ever changing critical needs

  • Ability to work in a demanding, dynamic, and evolving work culture

  • Travel to other AECOM offices as needed

  • Demonstrated understanding of employment laws and OFCCP compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a large multinational organization preferred
