Responsibilities for AC-130J Pilot Instructor: This position is at Hurlburt Field, FL. Provides instruction to AC-130J military aircrew regarding aircraft systems, planning considerations, and operational employment in the following mediums: classroom, training devices, and flight line static aircraft. Provides subject matter expertise during the Instructional System Design process associated with contractor delivery of aircrew training modules Fly at least annually as observer on AC-130J aircraft to observe current aircrew procedures and techniques. Support engineering and maintenance functions during test and evaluation of training devices. Reports to Weapon System Lead regarding accomplishments of assigned duties and responsibilities. Other duties as assigned. Hiring of Contract Instructors is predicated on demonstrated superior instructional aptitude coincidental with AC-130 strike and close air support experience in the mission design series aircraft currently supported on site Comply with all Lockheed Martin policy and procedures.
Basic Qualifications Minimum of 800 hours total Pilot Time in U.S. Military aircraft, preferably in the ACJ-130J/H/U or W. Must have a minimum of 200 hours of Instructor Time in U.S. Military aircraft, preferably in the AC-130J/H/U or W. Working knowledge of AF-level and major Command regulations to include but limited to: AFTTP and all appropriate, current AFSOC Regulations Bachelor’s Degree or Higher from an accredited school/college. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Understand, speak, read, and write English.
