CACI International Lead Systems Engineer / Integration Engineer in Hurlburt Field, Florida

Job Description:


Under general supervision, lead an information systems engineering team through the integration and maintenance workflows of the SOFPREP information technology networking and storage infrastructure. Work with the government in support of the Federal Risk Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) and information assurance activities.

Be part of a dynamic team that enhances and sustains the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) collection, processing, exploitation, dissemination, production and archiving capabilities of the Special Operations Forces Planning, Rehearsal, and Execution Preparation (SOFPREP) system. The system provides operational intelligence support to enable integrated SOF mission planning and rehearsal for real-world combat environments. SOFPREP produces three-dimensional (3D) scene visualization databases and enhanced GEOINT data (maps, imagery, and terrain data) in support of SOF training, planning, rehearsal and execution systems. SOFPREP’s mission is to support battlespace visualization so that SOF units know the area they will operate in before they get there.


Lead the systems engineering team through all integrations and management of the domain network infrastructure’s interconnecting switches and routers to include hardware and software upgrades, STIGs, and security patch management. Oversee and participate in the installation and configuration of SOFPREP’s online and near-line storage systems to include backups, SAM-FS, and software/firmware/hardware upgrades. Administer the hardware and software on Sun Solaris and MS Windows desktops, laptops, workstations and servers residing on physical and virtual platforms for classified and unclassified environments. Install DoD directed security patches and remedy system vulnerabilities for all systems.


BS/MS in Computer or Information Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 8 yrs. of experience in Cisco routing and switching technologies (IOS and NX-OS) with focus on Nexus 5000 series and Fabric Extenders and Unified Computer Systems. Additional experience to include MS Windows/UNIX (Solaris) operating systems, computing and storage technologies, systems/network engineering, leadership and management skills.

Secret clearance required.
