The Account Executive will join a team of Editorial, Creative, Operational and Client Services team members who are embedded on-site at our client, The Boy Scout of America’s National Headquarters office in Irving, Texas. The Account Executive will lead and direct the execution of content-specific print and digital publishing projects that require multiple resources and functional integration. The Account Executive will be familiar with project and client program strategic objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. The Account Executive will anticipate opportunities and obstacles proactively as well as manage scope and schedule using project management best practices and tools provided. The Account Executive will spend the vast majority of their time communicating with our customers and cross-functional teams involved in the delivery of assigned projects or programs in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
Customer Relationship Management Responsibilities
Establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with our client partners and internal team members
Provide outstanding customer service through timely response to questions, concerns, and requests
Interpret and meet customer expectations and requirements to ensure complete satisfaction with what is delivered
Collaborate with our partners and internal teams to track and report on the status of development of project deliverables in relation to a pre-defined project schedule
Serve as a point-of-contact to our business partners and cross-functional teams for day-to-day management of the project plan
Develop an annual marketing plan with each client identifying key areas for improvement; strategizing individual campaigns or events as needed with SMART goals
Project Management Responsibilities
Create and maintain the project schedules, and other documentation required to effectively manage deliverables to our customers
Collaborate with and lead the project team to ensure successful delivery of the project
Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the Pearson team and your client user groups in order to understand their objectives and link them to the organization's delivery of creative and editorial services
Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to project sponsors, client end users and management
Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements which promote timeliness and cost reduction
Manage project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project and account for time utilized for each project
Perform any required corrective actions and communicate results to all stakeholders
Conduct post-project analysis to evaluate results and leverage findings for future improvements to the way we work
Perform other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing or Communications
Minimum of 4 to 6 years of client-facing account management experience required in the Publishing, Printing, Advertising and/or Marketing industries
Scouting experience very helpful
In-depth understanding of print and digital publishing processes, workflows, and production.
Ability to practice diplomacy in working with varying types of personalities at different organizational levels
Creativity, initiative, energy and enthusiasm for providing a world-class client experience.
Forward-thinking, self-starter with the ability to work in a pro-active manner
Experience creating and managing plans for creative projects.
Ability to initiate a project effectively with little information under time constraints
