Current Need

This role will be the primary Generics (Gx) contact for key Retail National Accounts (RNA). The Program Manager (PM) will be customer-facing and responsible for the day-to-day relationship while:

  • Managing customer Gx portfolios and overseeing financial performance

  • Proactively bidding new opportunities and new product launches

  • Analyzing data sets, market-wide considerations, and conducting financial analysis to ensure your customers have market competitive pricing

  • Recommending and executing segment and customer-specific strategies while collaborating across multiple departments to improve existing processes

  • Partnering with the Sales VP on customer strategy, and creating business reviews to present

  • Owning your customer; partner cross-functionally to address customer concerns, manage daily customer pricing, investigate Gx-specific customer inquiries, and ensure reporting is complete and accurate, and prioritizing internal and external needs while delivering on often, short deadlines

Position Description

• Understand and communicate (written and/or verbal) subject matter expertise on generic programs & pricing to Generics National Accounts and others in order to maintain and sell generic value

• Partner with National Accounts to understand their business needs and develop “win-win”

generic solutions that drive McKesson’s financial performance

• Manage to and exceed customer level generics budget

• Review and create financial forecasts to facilitate go forward strategies

• Track and manage to contractual obligations with respect to generics for existing National Accounts

• Prepare analysis of National Account segment trends in generics (e.g., mail-order vs pure retail, warehouse vs. non-warehouse). Work with program management team and contribute to developing strategic plans for continued segment growth and program development.

• Coordinate program management efforts with Strategic Solution VPs and Pricing & Development

• Support private label generic offerings and drive growth

• Understand generic pricing dynamics and determine daily customer pricing and initiatives

• Identify areas for improvements and drive solutions

3 years product management experience
