Eaton Corporation Southeastern Energy Sales Manager in Jackson, Mississippi

Eaton’s Lighting Division has an opening for Southeastern Energy Sales Manager. We are seeking an individual who currently resides within 50 miles from a major airport within the Southeastern Territory, including these states: FL, NC, KY, TN, MS, ATL. This position will based in a home office.

Position Summary

This role is responsible to develop relationships with key specification influences and position products and services on behalf of Eaton’s Lighting within the Southeastern US territory. The key influencers include but are not limited to end-users, facility energy managers, utility programs, governments, energy services companies, energy focused contractors, energy focused distributors, and agents. New technologies including LED lighting and controls offer significant energy savings can drive down consumers operating cost. Market transformation programs, such as grants, utility rebates, and financing, which incentivize consumers to justify the investment in emerging energy saving technologies.

The individual will connect Eaton’s Lighting solutions to the market transformation programs to demonstrate value for the consumer to deploy them. The primary channel partners include ESCOs, electrical lighting distributors, and utility program implementers.

The role will work closely with Energy Marketing team, utility program managers, utility implementers, Regional Sales teams, and agents as well to assure the products and solutions offer the consumers in the territory the best possible return through the relationships developed to bridge the needs of the consumer to the incentive programs available.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with the top energy services companies supporting the defined regions of the territory.

  • Provide detailed energy product training for the respective key specification influencers for energy products

  • Assure utility program managers and implementers are current on all Eaton’s Lighting products and solutions

  • Where possible, develop market transformation programs in collaboration with the incentive programs, grant and utility rebate programs.

  • Expert support on a how a consumer gains access to the incentives offered in the territory.

  • Provide facility level energy audit support and recommend the appropriate solutions to assist the consumer to meet their goals with support from the local representative.

  • Provide energy pipeline analysis and follow-up to secure timely project updates and closure.

  • Growth of product sales through adding Market Transformation Programs in the territory.

  • Demonstrated on-going relationships with key specification influences such as utility program managers, program implementers, energy services companies, energy focused contractors, energy focused distributors, etc.

  • Demonstrated personal competence in product training, energy audit documentation, audit recommendations, training results, and incentive submission processes for the territory

  • Demonstrated competence gains by regional sales staff and local representatives on the territories’ incentive programs.

  • Demonstrated energy pipeline growth, tracking completeness, and closure rates.

Qualifications

Position Criteria

  • Aggressive, good attention to details, follow-up and execution

  • Solid presentation skills; ability to effectively communicate to customers and program administrators

  • Must be organized and able to track programs

  • Keen relational development skills to develop and grow relationships with utility incentive program/utility program implementation contractors / energy services companies/contractors

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales/marketing/product management-related position in an electrical products industry

  • A minimum of 2 years’ technical sales experience in electrical products industry.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship

  • No relocation offered; must reside the Southeastern US

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales/marketing/product management-related position in the lighting industry.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ technical sales experience in the lighting industry

  • Knowledge of Lighting’s LED and controls products

  • Experience in the Energy/Utility marketplace with exposure to lighting and/or appliance product lines
